So do all the dances that received awards move on to the New Works festival.

The Reflections Arts competition is run and judged by the National PTSA through their school chapters. The DuPont Manual PTSA organizes the annual event and uses their own panel of judges. Many YPAS dance majors do choose to enter. Creative Interpertation award winners at the school level, progress on to be judged at the district level and then possibly the National level. Reflections is in no way related to the Young Choreographers Showcase or the New Works Festival (except that some students enter the same dance in both events).

The Young Choreographers Showcase is a YPAS Dance Depatment sponsored event that serves as a preliminary adjudication in order to select dances to be presented at the annual YPAS New Works Festival in March.
