This is a reminder to all current NHSDA members who were inducted prior to the 2018-2019 school year. Please turn in your 15 renewal points to Ms. Ruttan by the end of the school year. Any senior who turns in their renewal points, will receive their blue graduation cords. The renewal form can be found here:
Attention YPAS Sophomore and Junior Dance Ensemble Majors and Parents:
The DOROTHY P. KING CHARITABLE ENDOWMENT FOR DANCE
a component fund of the Community Foundation of Louisville, will provide financial assistance for dance students to attend a summer dance program or dance conservancy. Sophomore and Junior Dancers may contact the YPAS Counseling or Dance Department to apply for this scholarship. Each year in May, the Community Foundation of Louisville will finalize the selection process and announce the scholarship recipient. The scholarship grants will be up to $1000 toward the student's summer dance tuition and fees.
Students who are interested in applying for a scholarship from the Dorothy P. King Charitable Endowment for Dance must meet the following eligibility requirements:
We are looking for student and parent volunteers to usher for Dance Mosaic. Dance Mosaic will take place May 17 and 18 at Lincoln Elementary School. Ushers will need to arrive at 6:45 and will stay for the entirety of the show. Students can earn service hours for volunteering to usher.
We are also looking for parent volunteers to work the box office. Parents would need to arrive at 6:15 p.m.

The Producers are in need of volunteers to serve on the board for the 2019-2020 school year. They are currently looking for a Dance Representative, An Alumni Relations Chair and a person to shadow the Producers' President who will take over as President for the 2020-2021 school year. Listen to This cast members: Please wash and return your costumes to Ms. Ruttan no later than Tuesday, April 9. This will be a graded assignment worth 10 points.
The next NHSDA meeting will take place Tuesday, April 9 from 2:30-3:30 in the Annex Conference Room. We will be making tutus and reviewing the Induction Point System. Our next induction will take place at Informance on April 23. In order for students to be inducted on this day, they must complete the online application and hand in their points to Ms. Ruttan no later than Wednesday, April 10. All choreographers must print, sign and return the Choreographer Checklist (see below) directly to Mrs. Mansilla to confirm your rehearsal slot no later than Monday, March 25th 2:20p. Failure to do so results in a forfeiture of your rehearsal space.
